The Menaion is liturgical text which contains the "Propers" for any given day. Propers are particular prayers which are proper to a given day. They might be the prayers for a major feast like Christmas or a minor feast for a saint. The Complete Menaion has twelve volumes, one for each month of the year. This particular volume contains all the propers for the month of January.
